Type: Small tree, less than two metres in height
Description: The leaves are thick and shiny. Plant bears head of tubular flowers resembling coral. Flowers are pink in colour and fruits are berry-like
Habitat: Thrives in uplands and mossy forests
Origin: Endemic to Mauritius
Scientific name: Chassalia coriacea
Conservation status: Critically Endangered
